The idea of Big City Dogs started in 1999 when we visited Walt Disney World. While there on vacation, we decided to try America 's favorite food the hot dog, but in a different way. We loaded it with “the works” and haven't been able to eat another plain hot dog since.
Soon after arriving home, we watched a program about hot dog restaurants around the USA . It seemed interesting how every city in America claimed ownership to the hot dog by dressing it up with their own special tastes.
Remembering fond memories of the past, like Friday nights at a local hot dog restaurant when we were kids, we thought it would be nice to have another hot dog hang out in the area. A hang out where others could create memories with their families.
Some of our hot dog's popularity actually came from the city they were named after and others were created first and then given a name that seemed to fit with the type of dog. We use only the finest Koegel's hot dogs and freshest condiments to obtain the best possible taste. We have also added several other items to our menu including ½ lb. burgers, chicken sandwiches, fish sandwiches, and pulled pork sandwiches just to name a few, for those who may tire of hot dogs easily. We have also tried to provide some items that you don't see on a menu very often like glass bottle soda, root beer floats, and cheesy potatoes (which seem to be a favorite with some of our regulars).
At Big City Dogs we try to keep the atmosphere fun and friendly, making it a great place to have a birthday party. What child doesn't like a hot dog or a large side of cheese fries? We have also catered on several different occasions including employee appreciation day, grand openings, and golf outings. Give us a call or stop by if this sounds like something you may be interested in.
